IES Selected as Finalist for Chamber Awards
The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce recently selected Independent Energy Solutions (IES) as a finalist for its 2009 Small Business Awards in the "Environmental Action" category. IES was recognized for leadership in protecting and improving the environment by helping its customers generate clean, renewable power through solar electric (photovoltaics or PV). Since its founding in 1998, IES has designed and installed reliable, cost-effective PV systems worldwide that will generate over 200 million kW hours of electricity and offset more than 96,000,000 tons of carbon -- all while reducing our planet's reliance on fossil fuels.
